About Me:
I am a sophomore Mechanical Engineering student at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, and intend on becoming a full time engineer. However, my lifelong dream is to be adopted by a strong loving father into a big happy family. I’m a Christian, so by “strong, loving father,” I mean both God AND a physical father who can hug me. And, speaking of hugs, my happiness level is usually correlated with the amount of hugs I’ve received on a given day. I am prone to exaggerate and tell stories that aren’t 100% true, just so people can understand what I’m feeling. So it only makes sense that I have published one book, and am in the process of writing more.
About freewayhome:
Mondays = Black hole post
Wednesdays = Thrill Rides post
Fridays = Media post
Saturdays = song that summarizes theme of the week.
This blog is about rollercoasters, stories, and the existential fears that consume me at night. Each “Black Hole” subcategory is the title of a book in the “Books” page. You’ll realize cool things when you see how they correlate. Also, in order to make people think, I will occasionally assume different worldviews and pretend that something bad happened to me (that didn’t really happen). So don’t freak out if you read something really insane.
The name comes from all the times my mom would drive me home from a theme park. I was always happy (cause I’d just been at a THEME PARK!!!), but then there was that quiet empty feeling afterward. I never felt like home was really home, and I’d spend most of the car ride looking at houses or other cars, wishing there was a father out there who could take me where I really belonged. But then I started hating that empty feeling so I tried to forget about it by watching tons of movies and writing (which also explains the black hole/thrill-ride/media divisions of the site).
